The HMCS TECUMSEH Band is looking for YOU!
Looking to do something more with your music? Perform for royalty? Tour the country? And get paid to play?
We are a multi-faceted Concert Band, covering all genres of music. We play marches and traditional concert band music, as well as pop, rock, jazz and classical. We provide opportunities for small ensembles such as brass quintet and dixieland band, as well as forming large massed Bands for parades and tattoos.
We have performed at the Jubilee Auditorium's Remembrance Day Service since 1994, and every year, we host the HMCS TECUMSEH Family Christmas Concert. We play in the Calgary Stampede Parade, at Calgary Flames, Hitmen and Stampeders games, and at various Spruce Meadows tournaments. We also provide music for ceremonies, military services and mess dinners. No matter what your style, you can expect to be challenged with our diverse and varied performances.
As a musician, you've worked hard to learn your instrument. Wouldn't it be nice to be rewarded for all of your efforts?
We rehearse Wednesday evenings, from 1900 - 2200 hrs (7:00 - 10:00 p.m.).
